PRIMEVISA daily brief
18 August 2026 · Settlement
One year left before the B2 English rule bites
From 26 March 2027 most settlement applications will need English at CEFR level B2 instead of B1, and the rule expressly catches people already part-way through a five-year route. If your indefinite leave falls due after that date, book the test now rather than in 2027 - test centre capacity is the usual bottleneck.
